Where should I eat? Are you really traveling if you don’t plan everything around food? And in this case: tacos? While you’re picking up your mornin’ joe at Radio Coffee, go ahead and snag a couple migas tacos from Veracruz or Granny’s Tacos. Your late night drinks & burgers should come from Whisler’s and Golden Tiger. Grab an afternoon brew at Pinthouse and to-die-for queso from Torchys. Get your pizza from Via 313 and melt-in-your-mouth kolaches from Kerlin’s! Get your brunch at Better Half, Josephine House, and Poeta. Your BBQ should come from Leroy & Lewis. And a delicious dinner choice is Nomade and after dinner drinks should be at Firehouse.

What should I do in a day / quick weekend? My impression of Austin is that it’s a very active city and there’s plenty to do in the outdoors. Play a few rounds of pickle ball at the Austin Tennis Center or get the best views of the city skyline on the Colorado River by renting a paddle board. Watching the sunset and the moon rise on the water was a highlight moment so I highly recommend! Luckily, I had friends with an extra board, but if you need to rent, check out Austin Paddle Shack. If you’ve explored Rainey Street and are looking for a chill activity, head out to Spicewood Vineyards! Zilker Park is always a great choice, especially for people (dog) watching. Thrift your heart out at Charm School Vintage, American Drifter, and Show and Tell.
